Ingredients:
· 145 grams Isomalt granules (your magic ingredient!)
· Lollipop mold and sticks (for fun licking!)
Equipment:
· Silicone lollipop molds/sticks
· Isomalt
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Molds
Insert the lollipop sticks into the mold and set it aside. If you want to add some sprinkles, add them directly into the mold now. Ready, set, go!
Step 2: Melt the Isomalt
Pour 145 grams of isomalt granules into a small pot and put it on the stove on medium high heat. Constantly steering the isomalt with a fork/spatula, watch the magic happen as it melts! Please be very careful and use protective gloves as it can burn your skin.
Step 3: Add Coloring and Flavoring (Optional)
Once isomalt completely melted, take it off the stove and wait for about 30 seconds for the bubbles to subside. If desired, add a few drops of food coloring (in the form of gel) and/or food flavoring to the melted isomalt. Stir gently until the color and flavor are evenly distributed. Make it rainbow bright and taste delight! I prefer to keep mine natural and simple.
Step 4: Pour the Isomalt into Molds
Carefully pour the melted isomalt into the prepared molds, filling each cavity to the top. Be cautious, as the isomalt will be extremely hot. Allow the lollipops to cool and harden completely at room temperature, which should take about 10-15 minutes. Anticipation is the hardest part!
Step 5: Remove and Enjoy
Once the lollipops are fully hardened, gently remove them from the molds. Your simple isomalt lollipops are now ready to enjoy! Unleash your inner child and savor each sweet lick!
NOTE:
Lollipops can be stored at room temperature. Just leave them inside the mold and cover it with plastic food wrap.
